The FishTradeNet database established aimed at providing seafood trade related information to the fishery industry in a selective, user friendly manner. The project facilitates networking among relevant government departments, industry, international organizations and global industry.
The project has set up a network of this database in 8 countries in the region: Malaysia, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Solomon Islands and Pakistan. INFOFISH will also set up the database in Maldives, the Philippines, Iran and Papua New Guinea.
