  1. As per Pakistan Fish Inspection and Quality Control Act, 1997.
  2. Maintains a track of Rapid Alerts from EU and takes action to address the problem
  3. New auction hall constructed with improved facilities for export to the EU market

Marine Fisheries Department

  • Lays down standards for fisheries products with  respect to the importing country requirements particularly the EU
  • Pakistan Fish Inspection and Quality Control Act, 1997 specifies guidelines for construction fishing vessels, fish handling, processing establishments, health control, packaging and identification marks, storage and transport and issuance of certificate of quality and origin.
  • Perform monitoring and health control of the processing facilities
