The Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources
(DFAR) is responsible for the catch (marine landings) data
collection and compilation. Production data on inland fisheries
and aquaculture collected by NAQDA, the National Aquaculture
Development Authority which are forwarded to the Statistics Unit
of MFAR for processing and compilation.
The
Statistics Unit of MFAR also compiles fishery export and import
data using the Custom Returns. As the national trade development
authority, Export Development Board (EDB) also compiled export
