THE
AIM |
|
The
aim of this membership scheme is to provide a formal mechanism
for legal entities in the global fishery industry to join
INFOFISH Member Countries in the Asia-Pacific region, policy
makers, financial institutions and academia and corporate
business leaders around the world, to promote intra-regional
and international seafood trade and exchange of marketing
and technical information. |

WHO
CAN JOIN |
|
Companies,
corporate bodies, institutions and associations, academia or any legal entity involved in the fishery sector can join
the membership scheme. |

HOW
TO JOIN |
 |
Those
who wish to join the membership should submit an application
form duly completed, along with the annual membership-fee,
for approval of the INFOFISH Governing Council. Some background
information of the applicant and involvement in the fisheries
sector would be useful for the Governing Council's consideration.
A Certificate of Membership will be awarded to the successful
applicant upon admission to the membership scheme. |

ANNUAL

The
fee for Associate Membership is US$1,000 per annum to be paid
at the time of submitting the application form and subsequently
upon renewal. |

PROCEDURAL |
 |
The
Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Associate Members will
be held prior to the mid-year meeting of the INFOFISH Technical
and Advisory Board (TAB), which is responsible for formulating
the Organization's Work Programme for the following year.
The Agenda for the AGM of Associate Members would include,
among other things, nominating the delegation of Associate
Members to attend the Technical and Advisory Board meetings.
The report of the AGM will be submitted to the TAB by the
Chairperson for its consideration. Three representatives from
the Associate Membership may be nominated at the AGM to attend
the year-end session of the INFOFISH Governing Council, as
Observers. |
